From Accenture to Airbnb with Spencer Simonides PO '17
Spencer Simonides graduated from Pomona College as an Economics major with a Politics minor in May of 2017. Following graduation, he moved to San Francisco and started as a consulting analyst at Accenture. At Accenture, he worked with tech clients on projects in marketing strategy & operations as well as business development. His primary focus area was in channel strategy and marketing analytics. After a little over 3 years at Accenture, Spencer converted to working full time at Airbnb (his client at the time). He started there in product marketing and moved into business strategy and analytics on the hosting side of the business. In his free time, Spencer is an avid tennis player and golfer. He also recently moved to Chicago, Illinois.

A Career in Consulting and Healthcare with Rick Schlesinger PO '79
With 6 years of experience at BCG and 20 years at McKinsey, Rick Schlesinger has served clients on a broad cross-section of topics including strategy, business performance, organization, and growth.
Outside of consulting, he worked as the Chief Marketing Officer and ran the Managed Care Operations for Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield. He was also a venture capitalist investing in healthcare service companies. Now, Rick works with a mix of entrepreneurial healthcare companies and not-for-profit organizations, serving as an advisor and/or board member.

Life After Consulting with Gibson Farone-Collins PO '16
Gibson is a 2016 graduate of Pomona College, where he majored in Economics and played basketball. After Pomona, Gibson worked at BCG in the Los Angeles office for 4 years, where his project work focused on Financial Institutions, among other industries. He completed his MBA at Wharton in 2022, where he was a Leadership Fellow and a Head Writer for Wharton Follies. He interned in Brand Management at General Mills during his MBA summer, working on the Yoplait brand.
Now, Gibson leads the Product Management and Print and Engineering R&D teams at Ruggable, a direct-to-consumer home goods company.
